Welcome NBC’s Former CEO Bob Wright at Civic Association Annual Meeting

Robert (“Bob”) Wright will be nominated as Civic Association Chairman and CEO at the association’s Annual Meeting on April 12 at the Flagler Museum.  All Town residents and friends are invited to come at 10:00 a.m. and welcome Palm Beach’s newest community leader.

Mr. Wright is the recently retired CEO of NBC Universal and Vice Chairman of the Board at the General Electric Company.

Stephen L. Brown, current Civic Association CEO, will be stepping down for personal reasons. At the Annual Meeting, Civic Association members and friends will thank Mr. Brown for his dedicated service.

Newsletter Postcard: Direct Mail that Works!

2010 Annual Meeting Newsletter Postcard (Mail Side)

Newsletter postcards are the best way to attract an audience with direct mail. This piece brought a record crowd to the Annual Meeting.  It doesn’t look like we are “selling” but the Annual Meeting is the biggest event to get memberships to the organization.  The larger the audience, the more members renew or sign up for membership.  The cost is much less expensive than printing a folded newsletter that has a tab or comes in an envelope, postage is cheaper, and readership/response is much greater.

JUVENILE DIABETES RESEARCH FOUNDATION

What Can a JDRF Chapter Do For You?

Guidance and Support
JDRF chapters offer a wide range of support services for families dealing with a new diagnosis.  For example, the Greater Palm Beach Chapter has formed the Juvenile Diabetes Family Network to introduce newcomers to other families going through similar experiences.  The Chapter has a program for parents who want to talk to one another in an informal setting and hear presentations on everything from insulin pump therapy to dealing with school issues like testing during class, where insulin can be stored, and emergencies.  Go to the JDRF website at www.jdrf.org and click on Locations to find events at a chapter near you.
